Describing student market


Focus has been put on lower secondary education. This is because students in this area may join us both in the short run and the long run. In the study conducted by our experts, found out that students are finishing secondary level and do not continue with their studies. This has negatively affected our region.

 

The region comprising the districts of Hoima, Kibaale, Kyenjojo, Masindi, Kibaale and Buliisa has almost 1.6 million inhabitants

The institution operates both weekends and full time. There are two in takes i.e. the April and August intake. The students in these intakes will sit for their exams every Nov/Dec  as per the calendar of UBTEB (Uganda Business and Technical Examinations Board) Formally called UNEB.

Objectives of the Institute



·         To supplement government education programme on tertiary education especially in the youth and the working class of Uganda.
·         To develop and organize refresher courses and trainings to the working class
·         To create energies for social transformation through skills development
·         To render quality community driven research for sustainable development
·         To conduct and launch campaigns trainings in education
·         To network with other higher training institutions, stake holders in the region and Uganda at large geared towards the provision of quality educations.

Paradigm Institute of Business and Media Studies allows students with A, O or S4 level to the course. This is based on rates of 42%, 49%, 41%, 32.6%, and 39% for Hoima, Kibaale, Kyenjojo, Buliisa and Masindi respectively.

Service Delivery
Paradigm Institute of Business and Media Studies is still a young Institution and all its services are delivered from the main office located in Kagadi Town council.

Paradigm Institute of Business and Media Studies will produce graduates of two major categories
(i) Those that can gainfully employ themselves
(ii) Those who can be employed by others

Paradigm Institute of Business and Media Studies targets to provide its training services to the economically productive poor women and men including the youth, Elders and PWD’s especially those who have failed to continue with higher education with gender inclination of about 55% being women.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION


Owing to the growing need of professionals in business and media arenas, and the conviction of the directors of paradigm Consult Uganda Limited, conceived an idea for the establishment of an Institute.

Paradigm Consult Uganda is the mother Organization. The consultancy work which we have been engaged in, for the last Four years, indicate that Bunyoro region and the surrounding districts have got a very high demand for professionals.

Objective (p) of the articles and memorandum of association for paradigm consult Uganda has given raise the establishment of this Institute. It states that “to establish, maintain school or college for the provision of vocational and professional; training in different fields and carry on the business of supplying trained / coached staff for temporary or permanent employment.

About 100 students have been trained in basic Computer Applications by paradigm Consultants.

The need to formalize this training has risen and that the directors have broadened this capacity.
The demand for professionals’ Management of Business is growing day and night in Uganda.

The employment sector is tightening its bolts about Academic papers. Statistics show that students who complete O and A level in Kibaale have not got the chance of accessing quality tertiary education.
